Not the pretentious, overly pampered kind, but more like the the effervescent, pink-loving kind. But don’t let her bubbly persona fool you – she takes her job very seriously.
Before she started whipping websites into shape at Team Creative Fire, Nakia held various roles in the customer service and call center industries, including quality control, training, and recruiting.
Nakia’s TCF journey began in 2010, when she took a social media class at Western Iowa Tech, with Thomas Ritchie as her instructor. Little did she know that two years later, after she’d graduated with an Associates Degree in Mass Media and Journalism, he would think of her when he needed a freelance copywriter to help him out when he started his new business.
Her role within the company has evolved quite a bit since then, and she’s done a little bit of everything, but one thing hasn’t changed: she absolutely loves her job, and her enthusiasm for what she does is infused in every project she takes on.
When she isn’t flexing her creative muscles at TCF HQ, Nakia enjoys binge-watching TV shows on Netflix (favorites include: Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Orange is the New Black), shopping for fabulous new office supplies, and being actively engaged in the work of her Faith.
